St Luke 6th Grade CCD Class
 
Welcome 6th Grade CCD Students!

Teachers:  Donna Valerioti and Aurelio Fernandez


Year of Study:
  This year students will get to know the Bible.  Each week we will follow our lesson books with emphasis on Bible scripture.  Students will become familiar with the Old and New Testaments.
Students   are strongly encouraged to spend time in daily prayer through reading of Bible scripture--if only for a few minutes each day.  Students will get to know the Word of God : the Old Testament teachers, the Prophets; the New Testament and the teachings of Jesus through the Gospel .

Expectations:  6th Grade CCD students should already know the following:

  • 10 Commandments
  • 7 Sacraments
  • Act of Contrition
  • Nicene Creed
  • Our Father
  • Hail Mary


Class Behavior -- Students will be respectful of the teachers and of each other.  Trips to water fountain and/or restroom will only occur prior to begining of class. Students will be expected to remain in class for the duration (6:30pm-7:45pm) until dismissed by the teachers.


  Celebrations - occasional parties will be held during the year at the teachers' discretion.  Year end pizza party will take place - pizza and refreshments provided by teachers.

  • Opening Prayer
  • Lesson Study
  • Bibly readings
  • Activity
  • Closing prayer(Students may request a special intention prayer for a loved one-- family member or friend who is in need of prayer, or for a loved one that has passed away)

  Occasionally class will be held in the Chapel -- students will be escorted in orderly fashion from class education center to the Chapel. Prior to class end, students will be escorted back to classroom.

St Luke 6th Grade CCD class is a fun, informative , interactive  class, students will come to know our Lord and Savior in a new light.  Their attendance each week  is essential to grow in faith and love of God.     

We look forward each week to seeing our students ; and parents, we also look forward to see you and your child each Sunday at the  St . Luke's 10:00am Children's Mass.
